With the phenomenon of globalisation in the world economy and the increasingly intense competitive environment, small and medium-sized enterprises aiming to enter international markets are in ever-greater need of qualified personnel with a sound knowledge of international trade and regulations.
Our Foreign Trade Programme at Çankaya Vocational School, whose main objective is to train professional staff who are committed to universal human values, can make a difference with their knowledge and skills in their field, and possess effective communication skills, offers our students the opportunity to develop their professional and academic skills within the framework of university-sector cooperation established to train qualified human resources for the sector. During the two-year programme, our students are expected to receive training from our expert and experienced teaching staff in theoretical and practical courses, both compulsory and elective, with a sense of professional responsibility and awareness.
Graduates of this department can work in the import and export departments of the public and private sectors, in the sales, marketing and logistics units of national and international companies operating in the field of foreign trade, in customs consultancy firms (upon completion of the required internship period, they can obtain a B certificate by passing the customs consultancy exams and become a customs consultant assistant), and in public and private banks.
Additionally, our graduates can transfer to four-year undergraduate programmes such as Banking, Finance, Labour Economics and Industrial Relations, Economics, Business Administration, Logistics Management, and International Trade through the DGS exam.
